DHC Social Contributions
DHC undertakes a wide range of initiatives to support individual well-being and deliver beauty and health to all, with the ultimate goal being to improve society. Some practical social contributions are described below.
Community initiatives
Partnerships with local governments

In 2017, DHC and the town of Sakai, Ibaraki Prefecture launched a joint program to help residents in their working years to break free from metabolic syndrome. In FY2024, 69 people participated in this four-month program for people with BMIs of 25 or higher. At the end of three months, the vast majority of participants (96%) decided to continue the program. Of those who continued the program, 90% successfully reduced their weight. The final month of the program aims to prevent rebounding by communicating information about diet and exercise.

DHC launched a joint bone health project with the town of Matsuda, Kanagawa Prefecture, intended to maintain and improve bone health. To date, 148 people have participated in this program, which encourages people to develop various healthy habits, including regular exercise and getting all the nutrients essential to bone formation. Comparison of bone-density measurements before and after the project shows more than 60% of those assessed in FY2024 either maintained or improved their bone density.

Partnerships with educational institutions

We held a special course at Sagami Women’s University Senior High School in Kanagawa Prefecture. This course for first-year students broadens horizons by explaining the appeal of cosmetics during their general research class time. Students report high satisfaction with the hands-on course, which includes explanations of all the steps from cosmetics planning and proposal through development, quality control, and completed products and review of the effects of skin-lightening ingredients.

2025年9月に、DHC直営店(府中フォーリス、イオンモール高崎、イオンモール日の出)にて、「こども職業体験」が行われました。参加したお子様たちは、DHCの制服に着替え、挨拶や商品の陳列・補充、そして化粧品を手の甲でお試しいただくハンドデモなどを体験。お客様役のご家族やDHCスタッフに笑顔で接し、目を輝かせながら積極的に取り組む姿が見られ、働くことへの関心を深める貴重な機会となりました。

2025年11月に、さいたま岩槻工場にて、春日部市立大増中学校の1年生を対象に、「総合的な学習」の一環として3日間の職業体験を行いました。生徒は作業服に身を包み、バルク製造や充填、品質チェック、梱包まで、化粧品づくりの流れを丸ごと体験。さらに、オリジナルクレンジングオイル製造にも取り組みました。実際の現場ならではの学びを通じて、ものづくりの魅力や仕事への責任を感じる大切な時間となりました。

2026年3月に、千葉県の私立八千代松陰中学校IGSコース2年生18名が、キャリア支援の一環として幕張のDHC第二研究所を訪問しました。未来を担う人材育成の想いのもと、サプリメント製造機の見学や利き味体験、崩壊性試験、成分分析などを通じて、化粧品・健康食品の研究開発現場を体感。研究所での体験を通じて、品質と安全性を支える研究開発のプロセスや、その背景にある考え方への理解を深めていただきました。

Cosme Bank Project
DHC has supported a positive cycle through the activities of the Cosme Bank Project since 2024.
This project delivers unsold cosmetics to those at risk to help raise their self-confidence and provide the inspiration they need to move ahead in their lives.

DHC SAVE SKIN PROJECT
Through this project, DHC helps 10,000 women across various professions maintain their skin in a healthy state, thereby creating a world of more enjoyable living.
